Building business connections through a Banyan Gold site visit

YFNCC Business Development Manager Ben Feltmate attended a Banyan Gold open house and site tour near Mayo, learning more about the company’s exploration work and its approach to local and Indigenous participation.

Understanding the work on the ground

The visit included core samples, geology and drilling processes, and the project’s operating setting. Conversations with Kai Woloshyn, Vice President of Project Development, included local employment and business participation, including engagement with the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun.

For YFNCC, site visits help connect business development conversations with a practical understanding of a project: what work is taking place, what capabilities may be relevant, and where early relationships can be built.

Exploration activity is not a promise of future contracts or an approved mine. It does create an opportunity for businesses to learn, ask questions, and understand possible pathways for participation as a project develops.
