About the Opportunity

The Government of Yukon’s Community Development Fund provides financial support for projects that generate community benefit and strengthen local capacity.

The newsletter highlights recent examples where funding supported First Nation economic and community assets, including the final phase of the Carcross Bike Park and new workspaces and equipment for the Ts’u Ghay sewing maker space in Haines Junction.

For Yukon First Nation economic entities, the fund may be particularly relevant where public funding can help create or improve an asset, productive workspace, visitor attraction, operating platform, or other capability that supports future economic activity.

The next Tier 2 application deadline is September 15, 2026, for funding requests between $20,001 and $75,000.

Eligibility & Requirements
The newsletter confirms that First Nation governments and First Nation development corporations are among the eligible applicants. Other eligibility criteria and application requirements should be confirmed through the Government of Yukon program page before publishing.
